Hello! I am a watercolorist, a self-described water ‘imagineer’.
Water is my muse and my tool. Water in nature, offers us free energy through the release of 'ions'. The cool thing is, our bodies absorb these ions, energizing us. My work strives to bring out the energy and flow of water.
To achieve this effect, I place clear water onto 400 gm paper and place small amounts of watercolor pigment into the “moving” water. I lift and tilt the paper, letting the color flow with the movement of the water. Layers of water and light pigment create translucency.
My process is a balance of control and freedom, letting the water define the space and is an expression of my journey through my career and life – a balance of control and freedom.
