About the Demonstration
Susan’s beads are created to share a moment in time spent exploring the natural world. Inspired by Mother Nature’s color combinations, Susan crafts colored porcelain beads by hand using the ancient and magical processes of Nerikomi and Neriagi. In this demonstration, Susan will share several methods of making colored porcelain beads, as well as ways she repurposes leftovers from the designs used to form her functional and decorative pottery. She’ll discuss the various porcelain clay bodies she uses in her work, as well as different methods she uses to finish the beads she uses in her artisan jewelry.
