Theresa paints fish from every possible angle, with crisp clarity, blurred abstraction, and every rich layer in between. The many layers of oil paint and cold wax hold the history of memory and emotion telling stories of determination, hopelessness, hopefulness, and possibility. A complex mix of what we all experience. Making art became a way for her to express and record her journey. A way to let others know that they are not alone in their struggles. Her way of saying that life is worth fighting for...believe in all the possibilities...just keep swimming.
