MEET THE ARTIST

I am an artist in Chester County, Pennsylvania, working in Watercolor and Oils. Having grown up on a state park in the Finger Lakes area of up-state New York surrounded by trees, lakes, waterfalls, flowers and wildlife, I have always been awed by nature and now use that as an inspiration for many paintings. I love painting flowers, landscapes, still lifes of fruits and vegetables or shiny, reflective objects. Representing light in its many forms in paintings is a challenge I enjoy. I also like the challenge and the magic of making objects appear to be 3-dimensional on the flat paper or canvas.

My training has been with a variety of local artists: Sarah Yeoman, Alice Meyer Wallace, Deena Ball for watercolor and Randall Graham for oil painting. I have exhibited in numerous juried shows in the area.
